IABTC Behaviour Unit 1 - How Dogs Learn
3 Day Course. Covers: how the dog's mind works, canine behavioral development, blocks and catalysts to learning, reward and motivation, instinctive and innate behaviours, nature v nurture and introducing the great dominance and hierarchy debate. This course has an optional after course assignment included in the price, for those wishing to learn more and prove their learning by being assessed. 2012 Date: May 14-16 (This course is 2 days before unit 2 you can do it independently or book both and follow on.)
IABTC Behaviour Unit 2 - Evolution and Breeds
2 Day Course. Covers: Evolution - the wolf and its role in domestic dogs. Breeds - understanding breeds, breed specific behaviours and needs. This course has an optional after course assignment included in the price, for those wishing to learn more and prove their learning by being assessed. 2012 Date: May 17-18 (This course follows unit 1 - you can do it independently or book both and follow on.)
IABTC Behaviour Unit 3 - Brain and Behaviour
4 Day Course. Covers: Brain - how the dog's brain works and how this affects its beahviour. We will look at emotionality in dogs, behavioural and emotional states including aggression, separation anxiety and stress and make links to psychopharmacology and complimentary therapies. This course has an optional after course assignment included in the price, for those wishing to learn more and prove their learning by being assessed. 2012 Date: October 15-18
IABTC Unit 4 - Instructing Pet Dog Owners
4 Day Course. It is important that anyone dealing with behaviour problems in dogs is also able to teach basic pet dog control training and understand the importance of domestic control and how this affects behaviour in general. This course has an optional practical assessment and after course assignment included in the price, for those wishing to learn more and prove their learning by being assessed. 2012 Dates: April 2-5 and October 8-11
IABTC Behaviour Unit 5 - Introduction to Behaviour Modification
4 Day Course. Covers: Case studies and real clients and dogs will be used to help you to - learn how to analyse specific behaviour problems and produce modification programmes in the real world. Also includes professionalism, counselling and advising. This course has an optional after course assignment included in the price, for those wishing to learn more and prove their learning by being assessed. 2012 Date: November 5-8
