Learn the basic and more advanced moves, and develop your skills, interpretation to music, link moves and creating a routine for fun, progress awards, demo or competition. Working on moves and links in the morning and musical interpretation, development of routines etc.

Janet Thickbroom’s Intermediate HTM/freestyle

For those with a real taste for the sport and wanting to improve.

Going on from the basics, perfect the moves, build on duration and accuracy.

Aimed at those wishing to improve their skills and prepare for competition. Richard comes to IABTC bi-monthly to teach a group who are increasingly doing well on the HTM show and demonstrations circuit.

 

Mary Ray - the First Lady of Heelwork to Music 

2021- June 2-3. £150 handlers for the 2 days, or £80 per day £40 spectators per day

Internationally renowned Mary Ray needs no introduction. Those taking part can have individual time with Mary to do either HTM or Obedience (your choice) and also take part in some group work that will benefit both sports. These days Mary is doing less and less courses and gradually retiring from courses away from home – this 2 day only workshop may be her last at IABTC.

Heather Smith - Top of the Tree

3-day workshop. Handlers £240, Spectators £30 per day. Limited to 8 handlers

A return visit from the excellent Heather Smith this workshop is aimed at those wishing to improve their skills and prepare for competition or demonstration.

It covers training exercises, across HTM and freestyle, making the most of moves, body awareness, choreography, musical interpretation and more.

 

Heather’s expertise is well known in the HTM field, winner of Crufts, Crufts judge, show organiser and internationally recognised, an excellent teacher and we are in for a great 3 days Interspersed within the teaching,  Heather will demonstrate and explain how she works with her own dogs.
